More Than Just a Park

We stayed in the RV park, and it was such a great trip for my family! It was peaceful with beautiful views. We took golf cart rides all around the park to see the amazing sunsets, to go to the water park that is set-up perfectly for all ages, play mini golf, and see the scenic views! There is a free shuttle to take you around town and to the other locations like the Palace of Gold and more. This place is a perfect location for the balance of nature - with trails and lots of birdwatching (we saw deer several times on our trip) - and activities to keep the kids entertained!! We loved it!! Will highly recommend to all of our camping friends!
Absolutely amazing camping experience, fun for all ages! Beautiful campground with great views, clean restrooms, restaurant and shuttle service. The pool is huge and new, zip line and biking trails. Everyone that we encountered was super friendly and nice and I loved that our wood was delivered right to our campsite. We will be back!
This isn't a campground... it's a beautiful park with an incredible pool, amazing aerial adventure area, fantastic put put, and mountain top views that happens to have very nice sites for camping. The pricing of everything from a site to food is unrealistically cheap for a destination like this. So far, hands down, this has been my favorite place to come across that I've parked my camper. The kids loved it, grown ups loved it, we all felt like it was a resort and left feeling like we didn't spend much at all. This place is going on my annual rotation of places to visit for sure.
You guys…..I do not even want to write this review but here goes…..AMAZING RV stay!!!! We went with another couple, 2 RV sites side by side, and it was great!!! We LOVE that the RV section is away from the activities and offers that quietness while still having fun things close by for the kids. Our views were beautiful! The pool is great, the overlook was beautiful and peaceful. RV sites are level, well kept, nice picnic tables, and great fire pit with grate for cooking. Every employee we encountered was so nice and kind! The ladies at the main office= spectacular! The young girl at the pool entrance =very helpful. The maintenance men= super kind! Always waved and said hello. Shuttle driver= always smiling and waving. And the gentlemen in the explorer= YES sir you are fantastic! Very kind, cordial, and ALWAYS making sure we were happy with everything! And now you see why I didn’t want to write this, because we WILL be back, and I let this secret out of the bag!
We didn't come here for the actual park, so I am not reviewing that. We visited this park from NE Ohio to see the West Virginia Swing that is here. There really isn't much help on Google Maps saying exactly where it is in this big park, so I wanted to share that. When you come into the park, you want to go in the direction of the Shelters. You will see signs with arrows pointing where to go. Continue to follow the signs up the hill and you will start to see 5 covered picnic shelters. The swing is closest to Shelter #5. There is a small trail in front of that shelter from the parking lot that will lead to the swing and a beautiful overlook. We spent some time here as it really is a pretty spot.

Look over the Ohio Valley like never before. Our ziplines and adventure park at Grand Vue Adventures is on the top of any thrill-seeker’s list. Zipline while overlooking beautiful West Virginia or test your abilities on our Basecamp Adventures. We have fun just waiting for you and your group!

We want to share an important update about the Vue Bar & Grill!
After careful consideration, the Marshall County Park and Recreation Board has decided to close the restaurant, with plans to remove the building in the future. This was not an easy decision and comes after thoughtful discussion about the current use of the space and the long-term vision for Grand Vue. The building has been part of many memories over the years, and we are grateful to everyone who supported it. As Grand Vue continues to grow, this change creates an opportunity to re-imagine how this area can best serve the park, our visitors, and the community in the years ahead. We appreciate your understanding and support as we take this next step forward. ... See MoreSee Less
