Before Care: 7:30 am – 9:30 am
After Care: 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Requirements

Ages: 5 – 12 (Must have completed Kindergarten)

Schedule

Kind Kids: June 10th – 14th

Campers will participate in activities that promote kindness and community service while engaging in STEM learning projects. Kindness activities will include partnering with the WVU Extension Office and promoting projects for local animal shelters and charities. Gardening fun and learning ways to preserve our environment, choosing a project to help others, and even a Christmas in June project will be part of this great week! Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

History Mysteries: June 17th -21st

Participants will delve into history! Fun research and learning activities will allow students to enjoy learning history through story and STEM projects. A mystery theater may also intrigue campers! Field trips to local historical sites will enhance participants learning experience. A historical figure dress-up day will let every participant share history with others. Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

Build It, Create It, Move It: June 24th – 28th

STEM, STEM, and more STEM! Legos, KEVA, FAB LAB, animation technology, and Makerspace will fill this week with lots of building and creating! We will build structures, create with our Circuit, discover in our Cardboard Lab, and so much more! Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and practiced throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

Stars and Stripes: July 1st – 5th

We will celebrate our great country through stories, art, music, and STEM learning. A great American picnic will also be included in this week to add a little cooking fun! Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

ART ROCKS: July 8th – 12th

This week filled with art will tap into our camper’s creativity! We will have visits from local musicians and artisans that will lead us through STEM projects and arts learning. Participants will paint, create, and play! Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

Kid Business: July 15th – 19th

Let’s get down to business! STEM learning will lead our campers to set up a business! Look out local lemonade stands…Grand Adventure Leadership campers will set business goals, advertise, and set up shop! Visits from local business owners will also help campers explore the great opportunities in our community. Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

It Takes a Village: July 22nd – 26th

Campers will explore our community! STEM projects will help us understand our community and how we are an important part of our village! A trip to the fair will also help us see many aspects of our community. Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.

MAD Scientist: July 29th – August 2nd

Experiments, investigations and observations will fill our last week of camp! STEM learning will fill each day! Leadership skills will be taught and practiced each day through opening activities and used throughout the week. Weather permitting, students will also visit many of the outdoor offerings at the park including the pool, aerial adventure park, mini golf, and playground throughout the week.
